NOTICE OF JOB VACANCY Job Title:
Grant Administrator The work involves responsibility for developing, procuring, and monitoring of grant funds that may be available for programs of interest to and supported by the County and/or other local jurisdictions, agencies and organizations.
An employee in this class performs professional level work in identifying possible funding sources to develop programs that may be available.
In addition to the identification of sources, the incumbent may be responsible for the preparation of written proposals to funding sources, which explains the proposed program focus, the means to accomplish the goal and the dollar amount necessary to effect a successful conclusion.
Upon grant approval, the employee may, in conjunction with the receiving department, function as compliance monitor of the grant, although not responsible for the fiscal disbursement/audit of the program.
The work is performed under the general supervision of the County Administrator.
Does related work as required.

Qualifications:
Either:
(a) Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university with a Bachelor's Degree or higher and two (2) years of experience involving research and writing grant proposals, preparation of supporting budgets, composing narratives, gathering internal and external data for grant submission, and administration of grants; OR (b) Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university with an Associate's Degree or higher and four (4) years of experience involving research and writing grant proposals, preparation of supporting budgets, composing narratives, gathering internal and external data for grant submission, and administration of grants.
NOTE:
Degree must have been awarded by a college or university accredited by a regional, national, or specialized agency recognized as an accrediting agency by the U.
S.
Department of Education/U.
S.
Secretary of Education.
If the degree was awarded by an educational institution outside of the United States and its territories, applicant must provide independent verification of equivalency.
